Exploring Aboriginal Art Prints with Dean Dass

Dean Dass, Professor of Studio Art at the University of Virginia, will explore Aboriginal art prints in the exhibition Etched in the Sun: Prints by Australian Indigenous Artists on Thursday, April 1, at 7:00 pm at the Kluge-Ruhe Collection. Dass will explain the processes used to create fine art prints including linoleum block, etching, and silkscreen. Several folios of prints that are not on display will be shown to program attendees. We will also discuss what to look for when purchasing fine art prints and provide information on availability of prints in the exhibit. This program is free, but reservations are reqiured.
