An article in the Courier Mail about Michael Nelson Jagamara, who just won the Tattersall's Landscape Art Prize. Quoted from the article:

Michael Nelson Jagamara was in Alice Springs two days ago, trying to scrape together $4000 to buy a secondhand car for his family.

One phone call changed all that and yesterday he was in Brisbane, dressed in a new suit and preparing to accept the award for his painting of a big lightning storm in Central Australia.

"From the Top End down, the Aboriginal people know the meaning of the big rain," Mr Jagamara said. "We've seen it lots of times in Central Australia. It is most important, the rain, dreaming and lightning. I've seen it here in Brisbane too, and maybe in another couple of weeks, it will come again. Maybe."
