Former Cowra woman's work is part of Canberra exhibition

Former Cowra woman Lorraine Webb is one of the artists whose work features in an exhibition opened in Canberra this week.

Chief Minister and Minister for the Arts, Jon Stanhope MLA, officially launched the CIT Yurauna artists – Past and Present on Monday.

This exhibition is an opportunity to showcase the work of past and present students from the Canberra Institute of Technology Yurauna Centre.

Dr Colin Adrian Chief Executive of CIT said “the quality of the works on display show the dedication students have towards study but also the strong partnership between CIT Yurauna Centre and Arts ACT”.

The artists represented are Lorena Hodges – Wiradjuri; Sarah Barker – Murawarrii; Lorraine Webb – Ngunnawal and Wiradjuri; Jennifer Martiniello – Arrente and Del Brennan – Gamilaroi.
