Indigenous art assembled by one of Australia’s leading collectors will be on display at Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery until July 18.

Contemporary Aboriginal Art from the Ann Lewis Collection includes paintings, prints and photographs

Dr Ann Lewis, OBE, is one of Australia’s best regarded art collectors and supporters.
In 2009, Dr Lewis gave the Moree Plains Gallery major works from her Aboriginal collection. Dr Lewis was born in Mungindi and raised in Moree.

The works in the exhibition, which are on loan from Moree Plains Gallery, represent Aboriginal art across Australia from Papunya in Central Australia to Ramingining in the Northern Territory.
Artists represented include Judy Watson, Rosella Namok, Gloria Petyarre, Ada Bird Petyarre, Ginger Riley (Munduwalawala), Tracey Moffatt and Rover Thomas.
