Bring back CDEP: Claire Martin

Northern Territory Chief Minister Clare Martin is calling for the Community Development Employment Program (CDEP) to be reinstated by the Federal Government.

Ms Martin says the loss of the scheme has damaged the Aboriginal art industry and remote communities who relied on its financial support.

She says Prime Minister John Howard should prove he is sincere about recognising the significance of Indigenous culture and reconciliation by bringing back CDEP.
