This exhibition celebrates Aboriginal art of the 'New Wave': the daring and visionary use of colour by Aboriginal artists throughout Australia. The use of bright acrylic paints rather than ochres has fired the imagination of artists and liberated them to explore new styles and representations of their culture and lives. It reveals the artists as great colorists who have embraced new media to express their stories as old as the land itself.
Artists exhibited include : Jodie Broun, Lucy Ward, Loongkoonan, Tjunkiya Napaltjarri, Emma Daniel, Nancy McDinny and Josie Kunoth.
