On Thursday 4 September Walangari Karntawarra will be performing with a famous Japanese dancer Takujiro Hanayagi and his lovely wife, Michiko Fuji who is a renowned Japanese folk singer with a magnificent voice.

It's part of the Willoughby City Council's Spring Festival.

Walangari Karntawarra says: "We will be singing a beautiful song called "Yasurai no hana" meaning"Flower of Peace and Serenity" written by Takujiro. I'll also be playing the didge while Takujiro dances in traditional Japanese costume. As well, Troy Russell and I shall be performing a number of my own songs, as the Black Mama Turtles. This is going to be a major cross-cultural interaction which will hopefully continue. Please come along and support us. It will be a wonderful night."

The tickets are very reasonable @ $25.00 and $15.00 concession. Phone
