INVITATION TO JOIN US AT THE KUNSTTOUR 2009
Once again the town of Uebach-Palenberg - bordering the Netherlands - is host to Aboriginal Art from Australia. If you are looking for masterpieces of indigenous art the Aboriginal Art Gallery Brit‘s Art & Promotion will be delighted to guide you through the treasures of indigenous art on display.
You will be able to visualise works from renown Aboriginal Artists like the late Lorna Fencer Napurrurla, the late Paddy Fordham Wainburranga or even Paddy Jurpurrula Nelson - who particapted in opening a new chapter of the biggest art movement Australia has on offer.
We are looking forward to welcoming you and your friends at our Gallery at the „Kunsttour“ on the
3rd of May 2009
11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Each year the interest in Aboriginal Art is increasing, which we can also feel in the region of Heinsberg. We are pleased about the great open-mindedness and curiosity and genuine interest of the people in Germany when it comes to the culture and art of indigenous Australians.
We are honoured at being able to show you for the first time the art of Walangari Karntawarra, a new artist represented by our Gallery.
His art is simply unbelievable - the use and richness of colours in his works; they are dancing over the canvas with an intensity and dynamic beyond description and are absolutely capturing. His paintings tell us with the significant Western Desert iconography the ancient stories of his people, but through his use of color and effects they are incomparably unique and absolutely fascinating.
Another highlight of indigenous art is the success story of the Lockhart River Art Gang, a group of
outstanding artists from Cape York / Queensland, who we will introduce you to. They took the world in acclaim and their works are highly sought after.
You will be able to see paintings by world-renowned Aboriginal Artists like Rosella Namok, Samantha Hobson, Fiona Oomenyo, Silas Hobson, Adrian King, Joanne Butcher and Moira Macumboy.
And - last but not least - you can look forward to many new Aboriginal Art "treasures" which we brought back from our last trip to Australia. These treasures are from emerging artists from the Western Desert and Arnhem Land.
