Alcaston Gallery is pleased to present Barney Ellaga’s fifth solo exhibition at Alcaston Gallery, Melbourne.

Barney Ellaga began painting with the original Ngundungunya School of artists at Ngukurr on the Roper River in South East Arnhem Land in 1987, and he has been represented by Alcaston Gallery since 1989.

Barney paints his Alawa country, Minyerri, south of the Roper River where he lives. He is a senior custodian for the dreaming stories associated with sites in his country, including those of Mambali Country, for which he is Djungkayi caretaker.
