Indigenous art in Nundah

Art enthusiasts can view the works of nationally renowned indigenous artists at Centred Art Gallery from March 19 to May 1.

The gallery’s latest exhibition is titled Senior Desert Artists and owner Rene Dings said the art on display was of a high standard.

``It gives a very good overview of contemporary Aboriginal art,’’ he said.

``There are quite a few different styles in this show.

``Because they are senior artists it means their work has been collected by many state galleries and interstate galleries.

``There are some big names in there. I would say it’s all worth coming to have a look at.’’

Established artists Joseph Jurra Tjapaltjarri, Eunice Napanangka Jack, Alice Nampitjinpa, Judy Napangardi Watson, Shorty Jangala Robertson and others will have their work on display.

Centred Art Gallery is at 74Hamson Tce, Nundah. The gallery isopen from Wednesday toSaturday. Phone325695854.
