This month is “Collections” month across the Sunshine Coast with council’s regional galleries and arts centres celebrating with a diverse program of public events including a free arts seminar titled Why Collect?

Presented by Helen Cole and Brian Tucker the seminar will be held at 10.30am on Tuesday 26 October at the gallery and will present insightful talks by Helen Cole and Brian Tucker about their collecting experiences and processes from both a public and private perspective.

As Senior Librarian at the State Library of Queensland in the Australian Library of Art, Helen will discuss her involvement over a period of 18 years in building the SLQ collection into one of the richest art research resources in Australia.
