IDAIA – International Development for Australian Indigenous Art – is delighted to organise a series a guided visits of the new Aboriginal art exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney. The opportunity to better appreciate the rich diversity of this art by exploring one of the superb public collections.

Presented by Solenne Ducos-Lamotte, French specialist of Aboriginal art, founder and director of IDAIA, an organisation committed to increasing the presence and the appreciation of a quality and ethical Aboriginal art among international audiences through educating, sourcing and facilitating acquisition and exhibition projects.

Previously, Solenne Ducos-Lamotte was the Head of the Aboriginal art department at Michael Reid – Caruana & Reid Fine Art in Sydney, where she collaborated with Wally Caruana, the first and former senior curator of Australian Indigenous Art at the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra for over twenty years. She also contributed to the Australian Indigenous Art Commission at the Musée du quai Branly in Paris in 2006.
She works with major international art galleries and institutions, and contributes to enriching Aboriginal art in both private and institutional art collections worldwide. Solenne is a regular lecturer, writer and curator for numerous organisations in Australia and across the globe.
