Leadership Role in the Aboriginal Art Sector
Founded in 1987, The Association of Northern Kimberley and Arnhem Aboriginal Artists (ANKAAA) is a leading not-for-profit Aboriginal Corporation and the first peak advocacy and support organisation for Indigenous art. ANKAAA services Indigenous artists and supports 49 Aboriginal owned community Art Centres located across its one million square kilometre regions in Northern Australia. ANKAAA works on behalf of its members to promote, resource, educate and protect the work of Indigenous artists and Art Centres.
Senior Resource & Development Officer (Program Manager)
This role ensure the effective day to day delivery of core programs and leads the Resource and Development Team in providing high quality services to Aboriginal Art Centres, artists and art workers. The Senior Resource and Development Officer will develop and deliver programs, activities and resources that meet the needs of ANKAAA’s stakeholders and help sustain and build a vibrant Aboriginal art industry.
Sound understanding of Aboriginal Art Centres and the Aboriginal art sector and active support for Aboriginal self determination are essential prerequisites for the position.
